Live! Louisiana Lights Up the Gaming Scene with Grand Opening Celebration
The Cordish Companies celebrated the grand opening of Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana, a $270+ million resort that marks the first land-based casino in the Shreveport-Bossier market. This milestone introduces a new era of gaming and hospitality to the region. Jon Cordish, Principal of The Cordish Companies, described the project as a “game-changer for Bossier City,” highlighting its world-class entertainment and economic impact. The launch was commemorated with a traditional Mardi Gras parade, fireworks, and appearances by local officials and Louisiana-native Hall of Famer Ed Reed.
Strategically located along the Red River near major highways, Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana offers a premier gaming and entertainment experience. The resort features 47,000 square feet of gaming space with over 1,000 slot machines, 40 table games, and a DraftKings Sportsbook. The property also includes a 549-room luxury hotel with a resort pool and fitness center, as well as a 25,000-square-foot Live! Event Center designed for concerts and special events. Guests can also take advantage of an RV park with 31 full-hookup sites.

PBR Cowboy Bar provides live country music and mechanical bull riding, while Luk Fu serves Asian-inspired dishes, including dim sum, sushi, and wok-fried specialties.
