Brand New Ways To Win for Players
The Cosmopolitan beckons players with lucrative promos and tournaments

The better casino club promotions in Las Vegas are usually found at the outlying casinos and locals’ casinos–not on the Strip. But one Strip casino, Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, has been offering some great promotions this summer.
August is normally NFL time in Las Vegas, with contests and promotions getting underway for the upcoming season. But with the current lockout between owners and players, when (or if) the season will begin is still unclear. Even without football, however, August promotions–particularly for slot and video poker players–are heating up around the valley.
The better casino club promotions in Las Vegas are usually found at the outlying casinos and locals’ casinos–not on the Strip. But one Strip casino, Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, has been coming on strong, offering some great promotions this summer. Vegas’ newest property has been offering a $100 slot rebate on losses for new members enrolling in the Identity Club. We can’t confirm at press time whether this offer will extend past July 31, but you can still get in on several other current promotions.
The Cosmopolitan’s Million Dollar Slot Series tournaments are daily slot tournaments held from 9 am to 9 pm. Play in these daily events and you can qualify to win your share of $1,000,000 in cash and Identity Play. The tournaments take place near the East Identity Membership Desk on Level 1 and begin each day at 9 am, with a new session starting every half hour until 9 pm. Receive one tournament entry per day for every 100 Identity points earned from midnight to 8 pm. Each session awards 1st Prize – $50 in Identity Play; 2nd Prize – $25 in Identity Play; and 3rd prize – $10 in Identity Play. The top daily scorer will win an entry into a $1 million slot tournament to be held October 28-30, 2011. To get in on the action, visit the East Identity Membership Desk.
Now through September 3, players also have the chance to win weekly prizes leading up to the Grand Prize Drawings in the Cosmo’s “Round the World Giveaway.” Play your favorite slots and you’ll earn Identity Points that grant you a shot at luxurious around-the-world travel packages. Players receive one entry into the weekly drawings for every 250 Identity points earned during each weekly period, and one entry into the Grand Prize Drawing for every 250 Identity points earned through September 3. The weekly drawings take place on property every Saturday at 6 pm, with winners receiving a $5,000 Prestige Travel gift certificate. The Grand Prize Drawing takes place Saturday, September 3, at 6 pm. The big winner will receive a $40,000 Prestige Travel gift certificate. Winners must be present to win.
On the outskirts of town, the Silverton Casino Hotel’s new Silverton Rewards Club is in full swing. $1 coin in equals two points on video slots and reels, $1 coin in equals one point on most video poker and $4 coin in equals one point on Optimum Pay Video Poker. Every 333 points equals $1 in comps. (Players can now upload their free slot play back to their account at any time, and start a new game wherever they please; they no longer have to be use their free play at the machine they downloaded it from.)
Players can earn four different rewards cards, including Silver for 0-999 points; Gold for 1,000-49,999 points; Platinum for 50,000-199,000 points; and the coveted Diamond Card for 200,000 or more points. These points earn players various valuable discounts on dining, spa treatments, concert tickets, pool cabanas and more.
Meanwhile, an interesting new promotion for ladies only has been launched by Golden Gaming, operator of popular local bars and taverns in and around Las Vegas including PT’s Pub, PT’s Gold, and Sierra Gold Taverns. “Secret Rewards” allows female club members the opportunity to earn luxury items and experiences including shopping sprees, cosmetics, fitness and skin care products, golf outings, and more.
“Secret Rewards is a revolutionary gaming rewards program targeted at women,” said Christopher Abraham, vice president of marketing for Golden Gaming, Inc. “In creating this program, we wanted to demonstrate to ladies that PT’s and Sierra Gold can provide an unmatched gaming experience for women in a tavern environment.
