IN A CANDY SHOP
Casinos are for adults, like candy is for children

Carol, close your eyes.” “Mommy, what is it?” “Close your eyes.”
Carol closed her eyes. Mommy opened the doors. More light was hitting her closed eyes than before. What was going to happen now?
“Open your eyes Carol. Open them real wide.”
Carol opened her eyes. In front of her was a world of candy almost as far as her eyes could see. Shelves and gleaming shelves of delicious candy. These shelves went out far and far outside her vision.
“Mommy! Mommy! It’s heaven! I am going into heaven!”
“Do you love it?” asked Mommy. “Every kind of candy that there is. Chocolates, dark and light, soft candies and hard candies, and sugar candies and candies with nuts and peanut butter candies. Candies of every type and they are all just for you! Look out there; they are all just for you.”
“Heaven! Heaven, Mommy, heaven!”
“Pick any you want. Those candies are all for you, Carol, they are all for you!”
“Candies! Candies! I love candies!”
“All for you! Candies, pick one or more or all of them if you want to,” said Mommy. “Today it is casino candy, Carol, all for you! It is all for you.”
“Yes, yes, all for me. All for me!”
Yes, it is all for Carol. That was a beautiful dream, going to candy heaven.
But Carol is grown up; she isn’t a kid anymore. She has children of her own. So, what candies thrill the adult Carol now? They are casino candies; and, in reality, they are slot machines of so many varieties that it is almost staggering to think of them.
These machines come in many flavors and they cost many different prices, from really, really low to sky high and higher. They can go from penny candies to nickels and dimes; to quarters, fifty cents, dollars, five dollars, ten dollars, one hundred dollars and even more! They are all out there and those you can afford, you can play.
You can play multiple credits on some machines. You can pay multiple lines on other machines. Some machines are hooked into more machines and allow payoffs of so much candy one could be stuffed for life.
There are machines of all kinds for anyone who wants to play them and all kinds of machines for anyone who enjoys playing all kinds of machines. If you like more and more candy then the slot machine shop has as many flavors as you could want. You can gorge yourself on them. Look at the casino floor and they seem to go on forever.
There are machines with numbers, machines with cards ala video poker games, and machines with television shows such as The Simpsons, The Beverly Hillbillies and The Walking Dead. Machines with movies of all types such as Rocky, Forrest Gump, Scarface and The Nightmare on Elm Street. There are even machines with literary figures such as Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Tarzan of the Apes or the characters on Game of Thrones. Do you like the Wizard of Oz or Da Vinci? Those machines are out there.
Science fiction and fantasy also abound as the Star Trek, Back to the Future and Lord of the Rings machines will attest,
And what about comic books? If you like those you have your pick of a host of Marvel and DC superheroes such as Thor, Spiderman, Captain America, Iron Man from Marvel or Superman, Batman (the Dark Knight), Green Lantern and Wonder Woman from DC – you even get superheroes and villains from other sources. You can enjoy some of the classic love comics you probably remember from your teen years. You have movies about love such as Bridesmaids and Sex and the City.
There are machines with stars of all kinds; screen stars, musical stars, cartoon stars, and athletic stars. There are history machines such as the ill-fated Titanic. You can play games with fruits of every type, oranges, pears, watermelons, and even lemons (among many others) and if racing cars can tickle your fancy then hop in and take a spin. If you like classical music? Great. Rock music? Even more great!
Do you like various animals in their various guises? Feast your eyes on the slot machines’ animal world made up of so many animals you feel as if you are really on a safari in a jungle. You have buffalos, rabbits, bears, and pigs, and look at those birds almost flying over your head. There might be more animals on machines than you can find in a zoo.
