by H. Scot Krause
The River Palms Resort and Casino in Laughlin, NV has been sold to Nevada Restaurant Services. In light of the Sept. 3 closure all customers at River Palms who are Trop Advantage club members and have earned benefits and rewards will be able to enjoy those rewards at Tropicana Laughlin Hotel & Casino. All benefits and rewards will be honored and members are encouraged to visit the Trop Advantage Center to take ad-vantage of their offers.
“The River Palms Resort may be sold, but the action won’t stop for our TropAdvantage members. Players can take one hundred percent of the comps and points they have banked at River Palms and use them to join the fun at Tropicana Laughlin,” said Tony Rodio, president and chief executive officer for Tropicana Entertainment.
According to Rodio, former River Palms players will find even more reasons to choose Tropicana Laughlin as their place to play. In addition to accepting customer comps and points earned at River Palms, Tropicana Laughlin will continue to reward qualifying club members with free sweepstakes entries, direct mail offers, gift giveaways, priority services and other members-only benefits.
“Plus, in fall 2014, players will enjoy a state-of-the-art bingo facility. That means TropAdvantage players will continue to experience that same positive experience and customer service interaction here at Tropicana Laughlin,” Rodio added.
With a complete collection of the most popular table games and nearly 1,000 slot machines and video poker machines, Tropicana offers avid players an exciting casino environment. Seven dining options include gourmet experiences, casual meals and a range of cuisines. Tropicana also offers overnight guests more than 1,000 newly renovated rooms.
Entertainment options abound, from a no-cover lounge with free entertainment. Open year round, the Tropicana’s Town Square Pool provides guests with a way to soak up the sun, relax with a cold drink, or be entertained by the “Big Screen Dive-In,” a 160-inch pool-side TV broadcasting sporting events, music videos, concert footage and first-run movies.
Tropicana is a publicly traded company that, through its subsidiaries, owns and operates eight casinos and resorts in Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, Missouri, New Jersey and Aruba. Tropicana properties collectively have approximately 5,500 rooms, 8,000 slot positions and 270 table games.
